UNE’s Bachelor of Language Studies develops language proficiency and intercultural communication skills for a global context. You can become proficient in up to two languages in three years, or focus on one language while choosing electives from across UNE to shape your interests. Study is available online or on campus, supporting flexible full-time or part-time pathways in an undergraduate languages degree. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.

Graduates can apply advanced language and cultural knowledge across sectors where cross-cultural communication matters. Potential pathways include roles in international business, tourism and hospitality, community and government services, education support, media and communications, and organisations working with multilingual communities. The degree also supports further study and provides a strong foundation for careers requiring professional communication in modern languages at bachelor level.
