The Bachelor of Education with Honours is a one-year, fully online programme for experienced education professionals who want to deepen their understanding of teaching, learning and education through research. You undertake a self-directed project supported by a discipline-specific supervisor, while building advanced cross-disciplinary research skills alongside a diverse cohort. This honours year provides a pathway to doctoral study in education at bachelor honours level. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.

Graduates are prepared for roles where educational research and evidence-informed practice are valued, including research assistant/officer positions, education policy and programme evaluation roles, and advisory or consultancy work across schools, higher education, government and community organisations. The course also supports progression into further research training (e.g., PhD/EdD) for those pursuing academic or applied research careers in education at bachelor honours level.
