The Bachelor of Communication (Honours) develops students with up-to-date knowledge of communication and media, alongside critical thinking, leadership abilities and industry-related experience. The programme highlights how communication drives today’s global economy and prepares students for roles across advertising, public relations, organisational communication and marketing communication in a changing media landscape.

The programme aims to develop analytical and practical communication skills, preparing graduates to plan and manage campaigns, understand audiences and communication technologies, and operate professionally in corporate and media environments.

Graduates can pursue careers across advertising and branding, public relations, integrated marketing communication, and corporate/organisational communication. Potential roles include media planner, creative director, copywriter, account executive, market research analyst, public relations consultant, media relations specialist, publicist, social media specialist, brand strategist, digital marketing specialist, corporate communication manager, speechwriter, employee relations specialist, organisational development specialist and corporate trainer.
Entry requirements
Pass STPM or its equivalent with minimum Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any two subjects and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR Pass STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR A Diploma or its equivalent with a minimum of CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR A Diploma in Media and Communication/Mass Communication/Public Relations or its equivalent; OR Matriculation/Foundation or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR UEC: Pass UEC with minimum Grade B for 5 subjects; OR Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis (in accordance with the qualifications that are recognized by MoHE).
