The CDU Menzies Medical Program offers a five-year pathway to become a doctor, designed around Northern Territory community health needs. It emphasises First Nations health, rural and remote medicine, and interdisciplinary, team-based care. Students undertake extensive clinical placements across NT towns and can participate in meaningful, community-partnered research with mentors through the Menzies School of Health Research. This is an undergraduate medicine program in Australia.

Graduates can pursue training across a broad range of medical specialties. The program includes extensive clinical placements and leads to eligibility for provisional registration with Ahpra and the Medical Board of Australia, followed by general registration after completing a compulsory internship year in approved facilities. This prepares graduates for medical practice and specialist training pathways in Australia’s health system. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
