This honours year supports you to extend and refine an independent fine art practice through advanced studio work and critical enquiry. You’ll be guided by experienced staff and engage with contemporary art contexts, experimentation and research methods. The program culminates in a substantial body of work and prepares you for higher-level creative practice and study in fine art at honours level. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.

Graduates may pursue creative practice as artists and makers, or work across exhibition and cultural sectors where advanced studio and research skills are valued. Career directions can include independent or commissioned artistic work, gallery and museum roles, curatorial and exhibition support, arts administration, community arts and cultural development, and pathways into academia or further research study in fine art at honours level.
