The Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology)/Doctor of Philosophy is an accredited combined program that develops advanced expertise in clinical neuropsychology alongside original doctoral research. It focuses on understanding affective, behavioural and cognitive manifestations of central nervous system disease and injury in adults and children. Students build capability in objective assessment and evidence-based approaches, supported by extensive clinical training and a PhD thesis.

Students develop advanced clinical neuropsychology knowledge spanning clinical neuroscience, assessment, diagnosis and management of brain-related disorders across the lifespan. It also develops high-level research skills through an original doctoral thesis that contributes new knowledge to the field.

To be eligible, students must be enrolled in the first year of Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) to be considered. Currently enrolled students can apply to transfer to the combined Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology)/PhD program for the following year. Applications to transfer are opened to currently enrolled Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) students towards the end of their first year.
