This specialist certificate develops music teachers’ capability to teach diverse learners, including students on the autism spectrum and/or with intellectual disability, with a focus on high-quality inclusive music education. It combines contemporary theory from music pedagogy, special education and music therapy, and is delivered intensively to suit working professionals. Students study at the University of Melbourne’s Southbank campus within a small cohort and learn through immersive face-to-face teaching days.
