General English Stream – DUELI

This General English Stream at Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI) helps international students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing for everyday life. You can enrol from beginner to advanced across eight levels, with class-based learning and activities that support communication in real situations and improve pronunciation, fluency and vocabulary. This is a non-award English language programme in English & Modern Languages. The programme develops education knowledge and teaching-related skills aligned with its qualification level.

You will strengthen practical communication skills, cross-cultural interaction and confidence using English in real situations. It is a non-award English language programme in English & Modern Languages designed for personal development and study readiness. Preparing graduates for education-related roles and further study pathways matched to the programme level.

There is no academic entry requirement for General English courses. Placement is based on the DUELI Placement Test or other approved test.
