This Graduate Diploma builds advanced understanding of how land, water, air, ecosystems and people interact, preparing you to investigate and manage complex environmental issues across urban, mining, agricultural and aquatic settings. You’ll develop knowledge of environmental planning and management practices, including monitoring and assessment approaches. The course can also provide a pathway into Murdoch’s Master of Environmental Science, strengthening postgraduate capability in environmental science.

Graduates may work across government, consulting and private-sector organisations in Australia or overseas, supporting environmental planning, impact assessment and resource management. Typical roles include environmental consultant, environmental scientist (impact assessment and management), regional planning coordinator, bushland management officer, and natural resource management (NRM) officer. This graduate diploma supports professional practice in environmental science and environmental management.
