Về khóa học
This two-year advanced masters prepares graduates for the rapidly emerging quantum technology sector. It covers the scientific and technical foundations underpinning quantum computing, communications and sensing, alongside industry and societal contexts. The program includes substantial research training through a supervised project and thesis, helping students develop expertise aligned with the needs of government, defence, finance and the growing commercial quantum industry.
Những gì bạn có thể học
Students build advanced capability in quantum mechanics and quantum technology, supported by applied training in prototyping, systems integration and measurement. The curriculum develops problem-solving and research skills through an individual research project assessed by a thesis and oral presentation. Electives allow students to broaden into areas such as computing, cryptography, electronics, innovation and project management relevant to quantum industries.
Kết quả nghề nghiệp
Graduates are suited to roles in quantum technology companies and R&D groups working on quantum computing, sensing, communications, metrology and related hardware/software systems. The program also supports careers in government, defence and finance where quantum capability and cryptography knowledge are increasingly valued. Research training prepares students for technical specialist roles, product development, innovation pathways, or further higher-degree research.
