In the Master of Public Policy and Management, students refine high-level analytical skills to meet the demands of complex public policy-making. The course develops theoretical and analytical perspectives across public policy, governance and management to understand the institutions, processes and practices shaping contemporary government and policy. It combines policy analysis with public-sector management capabilities, drawing on insights from experienced leaders and practitioners.

Graduates are prepared for leadership and management roles across government and public service delivery organisations at local, state, federal and international levels. Career pathways may include policy adviser/analyst roles, public-sector manager, program and project management, governance and strategy roles, and positions in intergovernmental and international development organisations. The combined policy-and-management focus also supports careers in consulting and not-for-profit leadership where policy knowledge and organisational management are both essential.
