The Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) is an entry-to-practice graduate program that builds on the University of Melbourne’s strengths in health education and research. Students develop advanced capabilities through hands-on clinical experience across major hospitals, community settings and potential international placements, with added focus on leadership, pharmacology and management. The program is designed to prepare graduates to meet contemporary and evolving healthcare needs across a wide range of practice settings.

Graduates are prepared for work as registered physiotherapists across public and private healthcare settings. The program’s broad clinical exposure supports employability and readiness to practice across metropolitan, rural and potentially international contexts.

Entry-to-practice graduate degree for students who have completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant field. English language requirement: IELTS 7.0 with written 7.0 and no band less than 6.5.
