The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) at QUT is a university-wide postgraduate research degree that builds advanced research skills through an independent, supervised project. You’ll plan and conduct original research, develop scholarly writing and analysis capabilities, and may use the degree as a pathway to doctoral study. This is a Masters (Research) programme supporting research across diverse disciplines. The programme strengthens research skills in organisational behaviour, strategy, and evidence-based management for scholarly and professional leadership.

Graduates are prepared for research-focused roles across universities, government and industry, including research assistant/associate positions, policy and evaluation roles, and analyst work where evidence-based investigation is valued. The degree also provides a strong foundation for progressing to a PhD and careers requiring independent inquiry and publication. This Masters (Research) qualification supports research careers across multiple disciplines. Preparing graduates for academic research, organisational leadership, and evidence-based management practice.
