QUT’s Master of Nursing prepares registered nurses for advanced practice, education and senior leadership roles through flexible study with strong industry links. You can tailor the program by choosing a coursework or dissertation stream and selecting a major area of practice, or take a flexible pathway with electives. Study is available online and at Kelvin Grove, with options to complete full-time or part-time in a postgraduate nursing qualification. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.

Graduates are prepared for advanced nursing roles across hospitals, specialist services and community health settings, with a focus on leadership, autonomy and evidence-based practice. The degree supports progression into nurse educator positions, clinical leadership and quality improvement roles, and can provide a foundation for research pathways. This is a master’s coursework qualification focused on specialist and leadership careers in nursing. Preparing graduates for clinical leadership, health management, and advanced nursing or allied health specialist roles.
