The Executive Master of Arts (EMA) is a world-first graduate degree designed to build leadership and management capability alongside the creative and critical thinking strengths of the humanities. Developed in consultation with arts, government, corporate and community sectors, it focuses on practical, career-oriented skill development. Students can tailor their studies through subject choices and may undertake an external internship placement or special project with organisations in Australia or internationally.

Students develop contemporary leadership and management skills including project management, people management, and organisational theory and practice. The course builds capability in budgeting and financial management while strengthening creative and critical thinking for complex real-world challenges. Graduates are prepared for leadership and management roles across arts and cultural organisations, government, corporate settings, and not-for-profit/community sectors.
