This two-year program develops entrepreneurship and innovation capabilities for graduates and professionals from any discipline. It combines a management common core with breadth studies in leadership, strategy and organisational behaviour, followed by advanced entrepreneurship and innovation coursework. The degree can be tailored through ANU-wide electives or an additional specialisation, and may include an industry internship (by application).

Students build evidence-based decision-making and innovative problem-solving skills, alongside core management knowledge. The program develops understanding of how innovations and new ventures create economic and social value, and teaches tools and frameworks to identify and evaluate opportunities. Through advanced coursework and a client-focused project, students strengthen their ability to research, design and lead new venture and innovation initiatives responsibly.

Graduates are prepared for roles in startup and venture creation, innovation and product development, strategy and business development, and corporate or public-sector innovation programs. The degree supports careers in consulting, project and change management, and entrepreneurship across industries. Internship options can help build practical experience and professional networks for roles in innovation teams, new venture units, and growth-focused organisations.

Applicants need a recognised bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 5.0/7.0, or a GPA of 4.0/7.0 with additional qualifications (e.g., honours, graduate certificate/diploma) and/or at least 3 years full-time equivalent professional experience at ANZSCO Skill Level 1 in a related field. Other pathways include 48 postgraduate units with GPA 4.0/7.0, an ANU Grad Cert of Management (GPA 5.0/7.0), or GMAT 550 plus experience.
