This double degree combines advanced architectural design with urban planning to prepare graduates for contemporary practice across the built environment. Students build highly developed capabilities for architectural practice, including managing an architectural practice and working in cross-disciplinary project teams. The program develops understanding of Australian and international policy and planning affecting human settlements, alongside design skills to respond to global urban change. It also strengthens knowledge in architectural history, theory and technology, including sustainable materials and technologies for environmentally responsible buildings.
