Western Sydney University’s Graduate Certificate in Epidemiology builds foundational skills to investigate disease patterns and improve population health. You’ll study core epidemiology and biostatistics and choose electives such as disease surveillance, environmental epidemiology and research protocol design. Delivered via Parramatta South and online, the course supports evidence-based decision-making for public health policy and practice in epidemiology at graduate certificate level.

Graduates can pursue roles supporting health research and clinical or public health teams, applying epidemiological methods to real-world health problems. Opportunities span public health and environmental health, communicable disease control, and analysis for government departments, health services, private industry, and non-government organisations in Australia and internationally.
