UNE’s Foundation Program is a fee-free enabling pathway for students with no prior university experience who want to prepare for undergraduate study. Delivered fully online, it helps build academic confidence and core study skills while letting you explore areas of interest. Successful completion can provide guaranteed entry into many UNE undergraduate degrees (up to specified ATAR requirements) and may offer credit for up to two units. This is a Foundation Studies pathway program. The programme builds core academic English, study skills, and subject fundamentals for university degree entry.

The Foundation Program is designed as a pathway into university study rather than a direct job qualification. Graduates typically progress into eligible UNE undergraduate degrees and apply strengthened academic writing, research, numeracy and study-management skills in further study.
