This Graduate Diploma in Sexology builds on prior study in sexology to deepen understanding of the biological, psychological and social aspects of human sexuality. You’ll examine attitudes and values, sexual and reproductive public health issues, forensic sexology and cultural perspectives, while developing health research capabilities in data analysis, reporting and research ethics. The course can provide a pathway to Curtin’s Master of Sexology (Professional) in health sciences.

You’ll learn to apply sexological and public health knowledge to support community health, and to interpret and critically analyse complex issues in sexology. You’ll develop skills to find, evaluate and synthesise information ethically, communicate with professionals and communities, and disseminate sexological research. You’ll also use relevant technologies for data gathering and analysis, build independent professional learning, and work ethically with respect for human rights and cultural diversity.
Kết quả nghề nghiệp
Graduates may pursue roles across sex therapy and sexuality education settings, and contribute to sexual and reproductive health promotion in community and public health services. The course is also relevant for work in youth services, disability support, human rights, education, nursing and allied health contexts where sexual health expertise is valued. Professional membership may be available through the Society of Australian Sexologists, supporting specialist practice in health sciences.
