This practical, entry-level qualification prepares you for work caring for wildlife and exhibited animals in captive facilities such as zoos, wildlife parks, mobile zoos and aquariums. You’ll learn from industry-experienced educators through a mix of theory and hands-on training, covering animal welfare, conservation messaging, rescue support, monitoring animal health and basic first aid. This is a Certificate III program focused on exhibited animal care. The programme develops laboratory safety, sample handling, and basic analytical techniques for technical roles.

Graduates may pursue entry-level roles assisting with the daily care, feeding and husbandry of captive wildlife and exhibited animals, supporting animal health monitoring and basic care tasks under supervision. Work settings can include zoos, wildlife parks, sanctuaries, mobile wildlife displays and aquariums, with pathways into keeper-trainee or animal care assistant positions. This is a Certificate III pathway into wildlife and exhibited animal care environments. Preparing graduates for laboratory assistant, quality control, and science technician roles, or degree articulation.
