This Certificate III builds foundational skills to learn an Australian First Nation’s language in school and community contexts. The course supports language revitalisation, maintenance and transmission, strengthening cultural identity, community connection and language ownership. Delivery is multimodal, combining on-Country learning, residential workshops, guest speakers, face-to-face sessions and online tutorials to suit on- and off-campus learners in Education & Teaching at Certificate level.

Graduates may support language and cultural learning across schools, community programs and cultural organisations. Pathways include roles such as language teacher/assistant, cultural educator, language program coordinator, community development officer, cultural heritage officer, museum or gallery guide, tour guide, cultural experience coordinator, environmental educator and conservation-related community roles. Outcomes align with applied community and education work in Education & Teaching at Certificate level.
