UniSQ’s Bachelor of Social Work prepares you to become a practice-ready social work practitioner focused on social justice, inclusion and wellbeing. You’ll develop skills to support individuals and families, co-design community solutions to inequality and disadvantage, and advocate for systemic change through policy and legislation. The degree includes mandatory residential school courses/workshops and two substantial industry placements. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.

To graduate from the Bachelor of Social Work, you must successfully complete 32 units of study.

Graduates can work across a wide range of social work settings, including child protection, youth justice, domestic and family violence services, mental health, disability support, hospitals and health care, sexual assault services, refugee and asylum seeker support, community services and schools. The degree also supports careers in advocacy, policy development and evaluation, and legislative input as a Bachelor-level social work professional. Preparing graduates for human resources support, community services, and psychology-related graduate pathways.
