Radiographers are responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic medical images to assist doctors in diagnosing or monitoring a patient's injury or illness. In this course you will develop the expert skills to become a radiographer, enabling patient diagnosis and management by using X-rays - including general X-Ray, fluoroscopy, interventional imaging, CT scanning, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound (please note ultrasound generally requires post-graduate study)- to create diagnostic images for analysis and interpretation.

These course outcomes are aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework level 8 and Monash Graduate Attributes. Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that students will be able to:1. demonstrate broad knowledge and understanding of the scientific concepts and instrumentation underpinning modern radiologic physics and biomedical sciences relevant to radiographic practice2. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
