Western’s Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) prepares you to support people of all ages to live more independent and satisfying lives after injury, illness or social and emotional challenges. The course includes extensive hands-on learning and meets World Federation of Occupational Therapists fieldwork guidelines, providing at least 1,000 hours of professional practice across varied settings. This is an undergraduate honours degree in occupational therapy. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates can pursue occupational therapy-related roles across a wide range of health and community settings. Career pathways include work in public and private hospitals, private practice and rehabilitation providers, rehabilitation centres and schools, as well as roles connected to insurance and workplace rehabilitation. Opportunities may also extend to mental health and rehabilitation consulting work. This is an undergraduate honours qualification leading to occupational therapy careers.
