Western Sydney University’s Bachelor of Occupational Therapy is an accredited professional degree preparing you to help people overcome movement, functional and environmental barriers to everyday life. The first two years build biomedical and health science foundations alongside occupational therapy studies, while the final two years focus on practice skills, specialised areas and extensive fieldwork. You’ll complete at least 1,000 hours of professional practice and may pursue an honours stream.

Graduates can pursue occupational therapy and related roles across a wide range of health and community settings. Career paths may include work in community health services, emergency and trauma units, drug and alcohol services, occupational health, palliative care and oncology, as well as specialist areas such as forensics. With extensive fieldwork experience, you’ll be prepared for entry-level practice and professional registration pathways in occupational therapy. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
