The Bachelor of Nursing at ACU prepares you for professional practice as a registered nurse, combining evidence-based study with substantial clinical learning. You’ll benefit from ACU’s links with hospitals and health partners to access diverse placements, and you may have opportunities for overseas experience in selected care settings. This bachelor-level nursing degree emphasises clinical skill, compassionate care and employability. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates can pursue nursing roles across acute and community settings, supported by extensive clinical placement experience. Career pathways commonly include work in public and private hospitals, emergency departments, specialist centres and rehabilitation services, as well as disability, mental health, aged care and rural health services. Opportunities also exist in government health departments and not-for-profit organisations with this bachelor-level nursing qualification.
