This combined honours degree builds advanced mechanical engineering capability alongside mechatronics, integrating mechanical design with automation and intelligent systems. You’ll develop strong technical foundations in mathematics, mechanics, materials, manufacturing and thermodynamics, while extending into control systems, electromechanical design and robotics. Study prepares you for complex engineering challenges in modern industry as a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in mechanical and mechatronics engineering.

Graduates can pursue careers across manufacturing, resources, defence, infrastructure and advanced technology sectors where mechanical and automated systems are developed and operated. Typical roles include mechanical technology engineer, engineering project manager, systems engineer, industrial automation engineer and robotics designer, working on design, optimisation, control and deployment of complex machinery and electromechanical solutions as a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in engineering.
