This diploma provides an entry point into information technology, combining foundation IT units with academic skills to build practical technical capability. It is designed as a supported pathway through SCU College, with embedded learning support and access to online resources. On completion, you can gain entry and receive up to eight units of credit towards Southern Cross University’s Bachelor of Information Technology. The programme delivers hands-on programming, networking, and technical support skills for IT employment.

Graduates develop foundational IT knowledge and practical skills that support entry-level work or progression to further study. Depending on units chosen, outcomes may align with junior roles assisting with programming, website development, user experience support, and basic IT operations. The qualification is also structured as a pathway into the Bachelor of Information Technology, strengthening employability through continued undergraduate study in IT & Computer Science. Preparing graduates for IT support, junior developer, and systems assistant roles, or degree articulation.
