This course explores crime, criminal behaviour and social control, examining why offences occur and how society can respond and reduce harm. You’ll study the criminal justice system end-to-end, including law-making, policing, courts and corrections, and consider differing perspectives on justice across communities. Industry exposure is built in through practicums and applied projects such as ECU’s Criminal Justice Review Project in this bachelor criminology discipline. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
