QUT’s Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) prepares you for contemporary reporting across print, broadcast and digital platforms. You’ll build storytelling, interviewing and multimedia production skills while learning how technology, audiences and ethics shape modern news. Real-world learning includes newsroom-style projects and opportunities to develop a professional portfolio. This is an undergraduate bachelor degree in media and communication. The programme develops media literacy, content creation, and professional communication skills for digital and corporate environments.

Graduates can pursue roles in journalism and content production across newsrooms, broadcasters, digital publishers and communications teams. Typical pathways include reporter, digital journalist, multimedia producer, newsroom researcher, content writer, social media/editorial producer and investigative or specialist reporting. The course emphasises industry-relevant practice and portfolio development for entry-level media roles. This is a bachelor qualification in media and communication.
